Mrs. Mable Marie Perkins, age 90, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (August 17, 2018) at her home. Born March 30, 1928 in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Evans and Nettie Johnson. She had spent most of her life in the Southwest Virginia area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mason Perkins, two sons, James Larry Perkins and Ronnie F. Perkins; four sisters, Laura Helton, Ollie Shepherd, Edith Rakes, and Betty Wolford, and two brothers, Arvel “Peanut” Johnson and Bert Johnson.
Survivors include one son, Danny Perkins and wife, Evelyn of the home; seven grandchildren, Scott Perkins, Anthony Perkins, Jeremy Perkins and wife, Kris, Robin Perkins, Nathan Perkins and wife, Jennifer, Jason Perkins, and Heather Kiser and husband, Chris; three sisters, Edna Woodward, Violet Keen, and Alice Johnson; one brother, Eugene Johnson; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Fairley Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Scott Perkins, Nathan Perkins, Jason Perkins, Jeremy Perkins, Dakota Perkins, and Chris Kiser.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Sunday.
