Henry Curtis  Stevens
Mr. Henry Curtis Stevens, age 83, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Sunday (August 5, 2018) at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. Born May 27, 1935 in Russell County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Joseph and Pauline Fife Stevens. He had spent his early life in the Russell County area, before moving to Pottstown, Pennsylvania, then moving back to the Honaker area ten years ago. He was a member of Limerick Chapel in Limerick, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Virginia Irene Stevens on July 30, 2018; one granddaughter, Kelly; two brothers, Albert Stevens and James Stevens; five sisters, Janice Stevens, Brenda Stevens, Irene Johnson, Linda Poore and Naomi Honaker.
Survivors include three children, Lester Stevens and wife, Debbie of Earl Township, Pennsylvania, Wilma Stevens of Honaker, and Connie Maxfield and husband, Wade of Honaker; five grandchildren, Matthew Stevens, Joshua Stevens, Amanda Rhoads, Curtis Ball, and Jacquelyn Ball; six great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Sluder and husband, Robert; brother, Ira Joe Stevens and wife, Virginia; canine companions, Hootie and Frankie; beloved parrot, George; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Stephen Musick and Rev. Robert Tiller officiating. Interment will follow in the Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday.
