Obituary for Dolly Mae Campbell (Ball)

Dolly Mae Campbell, age 91, of Mechanicsville, Virginia formerly of Council, Virginia, passed away Friday (June 16, 2017) in a Mechanicsville, Virginia hospital. Born May 22, 1926 in Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Louisa Davenport Ball. She had spent most of her life in Buchanan County prior to moving to Mechanicsville, Virginia. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Caroline County, Virginia. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, canning, sewing, music, loved to sing, and going to church, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husband, six children, two sisters, Ruby and Gay, and three brothers, Howard, Zed, and Jay.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Patricia Kelly and husband, Floyd P. and Darlene Perryman; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Hunter, Soraya, Sierra, Diesel, and Zane; one sister, Ellen Tiller; one brother, Rufus Ball; four great-grandchildren, Shelley, Billy, Melissa, and Jesse.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia. Interment will follow in the Frank Smith Cemetery on Big A Mountain, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Sunday.
