Roberta Cathleen Harris Stone, age 60, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Saturday (June 3, 2017) at her home with her family by her side. Born June 6, 1956 in Richlands, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Barnie and Sadie Thomas Harris. She was a 1974 graduate of Council High School and a 1975 graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College. After retiring from Tennessee Department of Corrections in Nashville, Tennessee, Cathleen moved back home to spend time with her family. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Jackson Chapel and Mount Zion Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sister, Peggy Harris, Shirley Johnson, Sue Thomas, one brother, Nathan B.F. Harris, one niece, Brenda Covera ,one great nephew, Casey Johnson paternal grandparents, Jay and Pearly Harris, and maternal grandparents Walker and Chloe Thomas.
Survivors include two brothers, Gene Harris and wife, Hazel of Prosperity, South Carolina, Lawrence Harris and wife, Zola of Hansonville, Virginia, three sisters, Patty Blankenship of Rowe, Virginia, Eula Gay Hess and husband, Harless of Rosedale, Virginia, Anna Harris of Honaker, special niece, Natlie Thomas, Special Friend, Angie Richardson and husband, Tommy and several nieces, nephews, and friend also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Virgil Musick and Rev. Steve Perkins officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Cheyenne Harris, Gary Hess, Gregory Harris, Mark Blankenship, Michael Blankenship, and Mark Brown.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday.
