Obituary for Dawson Lee Deskins

Dawson Lee Deskins, 3-day old son of Garry Lee Deskins, Jr. and Moriah Tempest Hope Casey Deskins of Drill, Virginia, passed away March 23, 2017 at Niswonger Childrens’ Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by great-grandparents, Ralph and Charlotte Stump and Grace Deskins, great-great-grandparents, Henry and Eula Stump, Andrew and Gracie Casey, and Gene McGlothlin.
In addition to his parents, survivors include four siblings, Leigha Joy Deskins, Alexis Jade Honaker, Bradley James Deskins, and Jeremiah Andrew Deskins; grandparents, Garry and Jennifer Deskins of Drill, Richard and Larrina Casey of Honaker, and Melissa McGlothlin of Pounding Mill; great-grandparents, Billy Joe Deskins of Drill, Jack Casey and Beulah Deck of Swords Creek, and Diana Wilson of Pounding Mill; aunt, Jeanie Deskins; step-aunt, Carla Osborne; uncles, Jordan Deskins and Michael Casey, step-uncle, David Osborne; special friends, doctors and nurses of Bristol Regional Medical Center and Niswonger Childrens’ Hospital in Johnson City, and the Bass Munitions Team.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Donald Musick and Rev. Stephen Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Casey Family Cemetery in the Pine Creek section of Swords Creek, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Richard Casey, Jack Casey, David Osborne, Michael Casey, Jordan Deskins, and Bradley Deskins.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Saturday, where an evening service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
