Robert Eugene Woolford
Mr. Robert Eugene Woolford, age 59, of the Clark’s Valley section of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (March 21, 2017) at his home. Born October 18, 1957 in Bucyrus, Ohio, he was a son of Robert John and Ollie Mae Cook Woolford of Abingdon, Virginia. He had spent most of his life in the area and was a disabled coal miner. He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Eugene Woolford, one brother, Robert John Woolford, Jr., his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Lucy Ellen Woolford, and maternal grandparents, Dorsey and Nora Cook.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Woolford; three children: Carolyn Musick of Honaker, Justin Eugene Woolford of Swords Creek, and Crystal LeAnn Woolford of Castlewood; two sisters, Karen Banner of Abingdon and Alesia Huffman of Princeton, West Virginia; two brothers, John Wayne Woolford of Honaker and Gary Adkins of Michigan; six grandchildren, Makylei Musick, Hayley, Dylan, Abby Woolford, Landon Woolford, and Gracie Brooks also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Donnie Musick officiating. Interment will follow in Lockhart Chapel Cemetery in Honaker, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Justin Woolford, Robert Harris, Brian Banner, Gary Adkins, Johnny Woolford, Bobby Musick, and Matt Huffman.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
