Mr. Danny Joe Musick, Sr., age 58, of the Hickory Junction section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Monday (February 20, 2017) at his home. Born April 12, 1958 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Marvin and Betsy Jane Reynolds Musick. A lifelong resident of the area, he had formerly been employed as a truck driver and mostly a logger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Musick and Dennis Musick, and three sisters, Bonnie Peck, Nora Jones, and Shirley Peck.
Survivors include his wife of twelve years, Deana Johnson Musick of the home; six children, Tracy Joe Musick and wife, Crystal, Danny Joe Musick, Jr., and wife, Amanda, Jonathan Ray Musick, and wife, Heather, Josh Richard Musick and wife, Kristy, Devin Kyle Musick, and Dylan Lance Musick all of Honaker; nine grandchildren, Keesha Marie Musick, Justin David Musick, Derek Shawn Musick, Jared Ryan Musick, Joshua Jalin Musick, Jacob Isaiah Musick, Kiley Joe Musick, Kaleb Jeremiah Musick, and Autumn Skye Clevinger; three sister, Marie Patrick of Abingdon, Eula Mae Peck and husband, Estil of Honaker, and Thelma Ball and husband, Wayne of Belfast; six brothers, Harold Reynolds, and Lacy Musick and wife, Linda all of Swords Creek, George Musick and wife, Linda, Sherman Musick and wife, Lisa, Jessee Musick and wife, Angie, and Stanley Musick and wife, Pat all of Honaker; mother-in-law, Brenda Johnson; brother-in-law, Bryan Johnson; niece, MaKenna Johnson; several additional nieces and nephews also survive,
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Arvil Arwood and Rev. Leonard Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in the Stuart Memorial Cemetery on Kent’s Ridge, Virginia.
Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday.
