Ralph  Eugene  Steele
Mr. Ralph Eugene Steele, age 80, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Tuesday (January 24, 2017) at his home. Born January 18, 1937, he was a son of the late Clarence E. and Gaynell Miller Steele. A lifelong resident of the area, he was formerly employed at a division of the Ingersoll-Rand Corporation, formerly known as S&S Machinery in Claypool Hill, Virginia, where he worked in electrical assembly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Frances Plaster Steele and one brother, Fay Steele.
Survivors include one son, Curtis Steele and wife, Allison of Rosedale, Virginia; two daughters, Sharon Taylor and husband, Wayne of Bristol, Virginia and Carol Justice and husband, Tim of Newnan, Georgia; special friend and companion, Geraldine Davis of Cedar Bluff, Virginia; three sisters, Ruth Chambers and husband, Bill of Honaker, Virginia; Doris Hale and husband, Nelson of Orange, Virginia and Glenda LaForce and husband, Doug of Pounding Mill, Virginia; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Conrad and Dr. Handy and their staff.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 PM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Kinder officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Friday in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum #1. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Richardson, Jackie Ray, Stevie Miller, Bill Cox, Harold Newberry, Jared Sweet, Tony Davis and many friends and acquaintances.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 5 PM Thursday.
