Mrs. Dollie Marie Wilson, age 87, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Monday (September 26, 2016) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. Born November 23, 1928 in Honaker, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late John and Nettie Honaker McGlothlin. A lifelong resident of the area, she had formerly been employed by Honaker High School in the cafeteria. She was a member of Tunnel Hill Free Will Baptist Church and Finney Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sparrel Banner Wilson, one son, Gary Wilson, and four brothers, June McGlothlin, Cricket McGlothlin, Lon McGlothlin, and Coy McGlothlin. In her generation, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Hite and husband, John of Abingdon; two grandsons, Brynt Hite and Tom Hite; two great-grandsons, Henry Hite and Sam Hite; sister-in-law, Betty McGlothlin; special niece, Phyllis Miller; several addition nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Steve Lester officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery at Lebanon, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday.
