Obituary for Patricia Lee Hurt (Fields)

Mrs. Patricia Fields Hurt, age 73, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (September 24, 2016) in Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia, surrounded by her loved ones. Born January 22, 1943 in Marfrance, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Ruth Fields. She had spent her early life in Drill, Virginia and spent most of her adult life in Honaker. A graduate of Honaker High School, she attended Southwest Virginia Community College and in 1963, married the love of her life, Clarence “Tex” Hurt, Jr. Together, they ran Honaker Auto Salvage for many years. She became a member of the Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church in 1981.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Ronnie Fields and Lottie Randolph.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Hurt, Jr.; three children, Ruth Hurt Seale and husband, Mike, David Hurt, and Daniel Hurt; one granddaughter, Lauren Seale; and her siblings, Sue Fields Adams, Hazel Fields Goad, Virginia Austin, John Fields, and Robert Fields.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Elders Larry Blevins, Darrell Davis, and Kenneth Presnell officiating. Interment will follow in the White Rose Cemetery at Drill, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Monday.
