Obituary for Nina Jane Belcher (Gamble)
Mrs. Nina Jane Gamble Belcher, age 85, of the Roman Ridge section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016, at her home. Born March 19, 1931, in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Minnie Musick Gamble.
A lifelong resident of the area, she attended Miller View Primitive Baptist Church and was a graduate of Cleveland High School. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Eva Ball; and her brother, Doc Gamble. In her generation, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Belcher of the home; one daughter, Juanita Sample and husband, Barry of Honaker; one son, Ronnie Belcher and wife, Diana of Honaker; four grandchildren, Nathan Sample, Neil Sample and wife, Misty, Brandi Jessee and husband, Matt, and Erin Cann and husband, Jonathan; five great-grandchildren, Kate, Layne, Will, Claire, and Levi; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Dr. Matt Jessee officiating. Interment will follow at Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, Virginia.
