Larry "Buckeye"  Sigmon
Mr. Larry “Buckeye” Sigmon, age 76, of the Wysor Valley section of Honaker, Virginia passed away Monday (July 2, 2018) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born January 13, 1942 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Carey Wilson and Margaret Jane Whited Sigmon. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the CCO and the South Akron Orioles. He was a former truck driver and a wonderful diesel mechanic and he always enjoyed working on buses, camping, fishing and drinking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Sigmon.
Survivors include three sons, Dwain Sigmon and wife, Lorie of Jasper, Michigan, Terry Sigmon of Princeton, West Virginia and Logan Sigmon of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, Larissa Sigmon of Honaker, Virginia; four grandchildren, Rick Sigmon and wife, Jennifer, Lisa M. Sigmon and fiancé, Erik, Tank Harger and wife, Sara and Ashlie Woods; three step-children, Philip, Brittany and Jade; two grandchildren, Emma and Nora; three step-grandchildren, H1, H2 and H3; his first wife, Ida Sigmon of Akron, Ohio; second wife, Lisa Sigmon of Honaker, Virginia; one brother, five sisters, several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life/Family Reunion will be held at 4 PM Thursday at the Punkin Center Pavilion at Swords Creek, Virginia. Those wishing to attend are asked to bring a covered dish and photographs and be prepared to share a favorite memory of Larry. Military honors will be presented by the American Veterans Honor Guard.
