Mr. Charles “Chuck” Thomas Arwood, age 48, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Thursday (May 31, 2018) at his home. Born October 13, 1969 in Barberton, Ohio, he was a son of Harry and Charlotte Wilson Arwood of Ashland, Ohio. He had lived most of his life in the Honaker area and was of the Baptist faith. He was owner and operator of Arwood’s Roofing and Siding.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tom and Nella Wilson, paternal grandparents, Charlie and Cerilla Arwood, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Trula and Ray Sutherland, one niece, Alissa Reliford, and several additional relatives.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of twenty-seven years, Pamela Hess Arwood of the home; special niece/daughter, Myranda Keen and husband, Keith; one sister, Tabatha Dunbar; two special grandchildren, Alissa Keen and Karri Keen; two sisters-in-law, Myrtle Clark and Rebecca Fuller and husband, Randy; two nieces, Randetta Fuller and husband, Matt Shifflett and Samantha Dunbar; two nephews, Randy Fuller, II and Darren Dunbar; one great-nephew, Michael Shifflett; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to New Garden Rescue Squad, Abingdon Ambulance Service, Johnston Memorial Hospital PCU and ICU, Legacy Hospice Nursing Staff and Intrim Nursing Staff.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Arnold King and Rev. Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Keith Keen, Kerry Keen, Brian Keen, Matt Shifflett, Randy Fuller, II, Nathaniel Hubbard, Kenny Johnson, and Anthony Holmes.
Honorary pallbearers will be New Garden Rescue Squad, Abingdon Ambulance Service, Clinton Johnson, Mark Hall, Ty Hall, and Ryhan Hall.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Friday, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
