Delmer Berton  Fuller
Mr. Delmer Berton Fuller, age 75, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Thursday (March 29, 2018) in an Abingdon, Virginia Hospital. Born September 12, 1942 in Drill, Virginia, he was a son of the late George Washington and Ora Gay Brown Fuller. A lifelong resident of the area, he attended Valley View Freewill Baptist Church. He was a former coal miner, having been employed by Clinchfield Coal Company and was a member of the UMWA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Hess Fuller, four brothers, Eugene Fuller, Ralph Fuller, Donald Fuller, and Raymond Fuller, and two sisters, Roberta Osborne and Ema Jean McCoy.
Survivors include four children, Elmer Burton Fuller and wife, Peggy, Ruth Ann Hess, and Chris Wayne Fuller and wife, Summer Rose all of Honaker, and Randal Allen Fuller of Richlands; ten grandchildren, Nichole Fuller, Rebecca Osborne, Kayla Fuller, Jonathan Hess, Derick Yates, Kevin Yates, Sylvia Fuller, Neylan Fuller, Christian Fuller, and Emily Davis; one sister, Dorothy Lowe of Elk Garden; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Crawford and her husband, Rev. Bill Crawford of Castlewood and Teresa Reynolds of Honaker; ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Steve Perkins and Rev. Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Dave Jessee, Daniel Perkins, Larry Joe Deskins, Dean Osborne, Daniel Reynolds, Kevin Yates, and Derick Yates.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Monday and Tuesday, where an evening service will be conducted both evenings at 7:00 PM.
