Mrs. Gayle Davis Musick, age 67, of Lebanon, Virginia passed away Wednesday (March 28, 2018) at her home. Born March 18, 1951 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Myrtle Dye Davis. A graduate of the class of 1969 from Honaker High School, she went on to further her education at the Bristol Business College, graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Business in 1971. She had resided most of her life in the Lebanon area and was a devoted member of Lebanon Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities, the most memorable being that of Youth Leader. Along with her husband, Joe Bruce, she owned and managed H & V Sporting Goods in Richlands, Virginia for thirty-seven years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her family above all.
Survivors include her husband of forty-seven years, Joe Bruce Musick of the home; three sons, Jody Musick and wife, Marsha of Gray, Tennessee, Chad Musick and wife, Rosey of Lebanon, Virginia, and Jacob Musick and wife, Lori of Honaker; nine grandchildren, Shauntea, Kent, Ema, Isabella, Gabriel, Connor, Chadyn, Hayden, and Parker; seven sisters, Annette White and husband, Perry, Billie Davis and Ronnie, Brenda Abel and husband, Fred, Barbara Davis Payne, Diane Davis, Teresa Schweingruber, and Denise Miller and husband, Earl; one brother, Wayne Davis and wife, Tammy; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday at the Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Edwards and Rev. David Luster officiating.
