Richard “Old Timer” Vance, age 76, of the Laurel Branch section of Honaker, Virginia passed away Sunday (March 4, 2018) at his home. Born February 6, 1942 in Covington, KY, he was a son of the late Curtis and Dorothy Vance. He enjoyed being outdoors, working on cars, playing card, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Vance, one son, Jimmy Vance and two brothers, Ronnie Vance and Dazzy Vance.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Vance and wife, Vicky and Johnny Vance and wife, Kathy both of Honaker, Virginia; one sister, Louise Lantz of Huntington, Indiana; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and special friends, Willard Meade and Terry Thomas also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Fletchers Cemetery at Grundy, Virginia with Rev. Brad Cook officiating.
