Mrs. Annie Adeline Fletcher Belcher, age 84, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Sunday morning (February 18, 2018) at Dominion Senior Living in Bristol, Tennessee. Born August 27, 1933 in Davenport, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Henry M. and Rachel Caroline Breeding Fletcher. She spent her early life in Buchanan County, Virginia and was a 1952 graduate of Council High School. Upon graduation, she moved to Washington D.C., where she started her career with the F.B.I. She later moved back to southwest Virginia, where she got married, started her family and worked at several area department stores. In 1973, she and her husband opened Belcher’s Repair Service in Lebanon, Virginia, which they operated together for over twenty-six years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raynord Belcher; five brothers, James Worley Fletcher, Eugene J. Fletcher, Herbert H. Fletcher, Earl R. Fletcher, Arnold R. Fletcher; two sisters, Marie Fletcher Fletcher and Loula May Fletcher.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Mullins and husband, Timothy of Bedford, Virginia and Christina Hart and husband, Scott of Honaker, Virginia; grandson, Clint Hart and wife, Taylor; one brother, Bernard W. Fletcher and wife, Jackie of Lebanon, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Adeline’s at-home caregivers, the staff of Dominion Senior Living and Amedisys Hospice.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Garnell Gilbert officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday in the Russell Memorial Cemetery at Lebanon, Virginia. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home from 5PM until 7 PM Monday.
