Obituary for Lewis Dwain Stevens

Mr. Lewis Dwain Stevens, age 83, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (January 31, 2018) in a Lebanon, Virginia hospital. Born June 16, 1934 at Sandy Ridge, Virginia, he was a son of the late Grady and Bertha Rasnake Stevens. A lifelong resident of the area, he was of the Pentecostal faith. A retired coal miner, he had formerly been employed by Pittston Coal Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Norma Carol Murphy Stevens, one infant son, and one brother, Kenneth Stevens.
Survivors include four sons, Ronnie Lewis Stevens and wife, Connie of Lebanon, Michael Dwain Stevens and wife, Joanna of Honaker, Gerald Bryant Stevens and wife, Sheila of Rosedale, and Grady Randall Stevens of Portsmouth; two sisters, Virginia Murphy and Freeda Dotson both of Honaker; one brother, J.C. Stevens and wife, Carolyn of Honaker; four grandchildren, Devan Stevens, Kalina McGlothlin and husband, Craig, Lyndsey Monk and husband, Charlie, Deric Stevens and wife, Hali; four great-grandchildren, Kylee Stevens, Colin McGlothlin, Mali Stevens, and Laydon Stevens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Roy Lee Wilson and Rev. Don Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Mark Murphy, Ricky Murphy, Bobby Murphy, Devan Stevens, Deric Stevens, Craig McGlothlin, and Charlie Monk.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Friday.
